I'm hoping to add to this site quite regularly and build up a resource of links and interesting articles. Whether these links will be interesting or useful to anyone else is a subject for conjecture! I suppose I need to plan and design this site as 'fit for purpose' and as the purpose of it is to show case my work and act as a development piece in it's own right, the whole thing could be quite organic. Hopefully my increasing knowledge of HCI will help me understand what it is I am trying to achieve here! Web site design is much easier to do for someone else, because you can never be satisfied with what you want personally, or what you are trying to achieve. Ideas come and go and changes are made as old ideas wear thin. Just like graphic design and illustration, the artist is usually his own worst critic. Pleasing clients is much easier because, hopefully, you have a much more specific brief. Therefore you have clearer assessment criteria for the work and the cyclical development process has definitive structure. That is to say the design solution gets clearer as the goals are focussed in on. With this site it may be the exact opposite! So please bear with me, and thanks for bothering to visit.
